Purcell were appointed to prepare and submit Planning and Listed Building Consent for a new external spa pool and conservation works to the external areas of the property.
The house is Grade II listed and widely considered one of the finest modernist houses in the country, not just due to its characteristic design and original architect, but also for its remarkable condition.
Our work restored external historic finishes and reinstated the original design intents to this 20th century modernist house. The statutory planning authorities were satisfied that our proposals for a small extension to incorporate a spa pool into the garden do not impact on the historic fabric, and serve the property as an integral part of the new flood mitigation strategy.
