Edward Dunderdale
Edward joined Purcell's Canterbury studio in 2018 after qualifying as an architect in 2013, studing at the Universities of Lincoln, Kent, and Cambridge. He has previous experience across the cultural, ecclesiastical, hospitality, commercial, and residential sectors and has a practical knowledge of working in historically sensitive environments including, Grade I, II, and II*-listed buildings, scheduled ancient monuments and buildings on the Heritage at Risk Register.
He enjoys working on a wide range of large and small projects from sympathetic extensions, retrofit, and new build schemes. He is as proficient in heading interdisciplinary teams of consultants and contract administrating as he is fostering long standing relationships with domestic clients with listed properties.
Edward has worked on a number of NHLF funded project including the Tunbridge Wells Cultural Hub; library, archive, café, galleries and work spaces, and Chatham St John the Divine, the restoration and refurbishment of a grade II-listed Georgian church with a focus on community outreach.
Edward has been a member of the Purcell Voice, is a member of the Purcell Modern Group, a university student mentor and currently working towards accreditation as a conservation architect.
