We are expanding our Edinburgh team and are looking for an exceptional Senior Architect to support the delivery of prestigious projects across Scotland and the north of England. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in projects at all RIBA stages working collaboratively with a broad consultant team. Following the opening of our Edinburgh Studio in January 2024, we are ready to grow our team to deliver and further secure work across Scotland and the north of England.  We are looking for 5+ years post qualification experience to deliver projects at all work stages.  Outstanding candidates will be well-organised, knowledgeable and with a thirst for personal and professional development.  Relevant experience managing and delivering work packages on site, in particular through RIBA 3, 4 & 5, with excellent technical and construction knowledge, is essential.  You will be a key part in a small team working to secure and deliver exceptional projects in the heritage sphere.

We are looking for candidates who have the following skills: 

  • UK Registered Architect (Part 3 qualified) with at least 5 years working as a Project Architect for a UK based practice.
  • AABC, RIBA or RIAS conservation accredited or willing to work towards it 
  • Project management and contract administration skills 
  • Have excellent technical skills and detailing
  • Conservation experience 
  • Have a strong understanding of the Scottish Building and Planning regulations
  • Leadership experience managing a small to medium sized team 
  • Experience of taking responsibility for the financial success of projects 
  • Be well organised, proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and projects 
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written 
  • Proven experience working on all RIBA stages 
  • Demonstrate good client-facing communication skills 
  • Proficient use of technical software. AutoCAD, Revit and NBS software is desirable
