Purcell are expanding our team and are looking for an Architect at Associate level to join our London studio to contribute to winning and leading an exciting range of large-scale high-profile design and conservation projects in the high-end residential, and hospitality sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of architects, be involved in business development and work winning, studio leadership and management, project leadership at concept and delivery stages, working collaboratively with clients and consultants, and leading enthusiastic and talented teams within the studio. We are looking for candidates who have the following skills:

  • Part 3 qualified and have at least 10 years working as a Project Architect for a UK based practice
  • Have excellent design, technical and conservation skills and experience.
  • Attention to detail, graphic sensibility and hand drawing ability
  • Relevant experience of high end private residential and hospitality projects preferred
  • A comprehensive understanding of UK Building and Planning Regulations
  • Proven experience working on all RIBA stages
  • Demonstrate excellent client-facing communication skills
  • AABC or RIBA SCA/ CA accreditation desirable
  • Proficiency in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD and NBS software
  • Leadership experience managing a small to medium sized studio, business or team
  • Project management and contract administration experience
  • Experience of taking responsibility for the financial success of projects, and strong commercial awareness
  • Be well organised, and demonstrate a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and projects
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Strong experience in business development and work winning, including bidding experience
