Manchester Museum announced as Selwyn Goldsmith Award winner
Purcell’s reimagining of the Manchester Museum has been named as one of three projects to be recognised by the Selwyn Goldsmith Awards for accessibility.
The completed project has added an accessible new entrance, temporary exhibition spaces, and a permanent gallery celebrating South Asian culture to the museum, which reopened to the public last year. You can read more about the project here.
The Manchester Museum is one of 56 successful National/International projects chosen from over 320 applications and will receive either an Award or be Highly Commended at the Civic Trust Awards Ceremony in March. The project is one of only three projects to be recognised by the Selwyn Goldsmith Awards for accessibility.
The Civic Trust Awards were launched in 1959 to recognise outstanding architecture, planning and design in the built environment.
