Laura Baron appointed to NLA’s Retrofit and Conservation Expert Panel
Purcell’s Head of Sustainability, Laura Baron, has been appointed to New London Architecture’s new Retrofit and Conservation Expert Panel.
The Retrofit and Conservation Expert Panel will aim to address issues, challenges, and opportunities around the retrofit and conservation of London’s existing building stock.
As a team of specialist heritage architects working in London, we have always championed retrofit and adaptive reuse over demolition and new build. Laura’s appointment to the Retrofit and Conservation panel – one of 15 contributing to the NLA’s New London Agenda – will allow Purcell to continue advocating for the sustainable retention of our existing built environment.
Engaging directly with the Major of London and GLA’s Planning for London Programme, our presence as heritage architects on the Retrofit and Conservation Panel will ensure that we have an active voice on issues facing the capital; the preservation of its built heritage; and in shaping its future.
